Hybrid Working
Structured hybrid role:
At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. Introduction:
The primary area of focus for this role will be to support the Estate Management and Controls team in tracking and monitoring Global Payment Services application teams progress against reaching or maintaining the satisfactory rating against Support Management and Cyber metrics.
What will you be doing
The primary responsibility will be to support Infrastructure and Dev-Ops deliverables and Controls team with the following:
. Working with application teams to develop, build and automate infrastructure provisioning for applications under Digital Tower
Examples include:
Chef cookbook creation for Kafka, Radis
. Performing application deployments via chef, Jenkins.
. Working closely with Dev/Test team and carry out testing of various infrastructure migrations.
Examples include:
MQ migration, oracle migration
. Working closely with Dev/Test team /estate management team on 'Remediation of various vulnerabilities such as infrastructure, DB, APaaS ..
. Working on various aspects of service management such as Incident, Change and Problem etc.
. Working closely with RTB team to implement change in production.
. Working closely Dev/GTIS/RTB team for PARP and DIRP activities.
. Working closely Dev/GTIS teams for ATR activities
. Contributing to and presenting updates at the regular internal forums
What we're looking for:
. Proficient in Dev-Ops skills such as Linux OS, git, Chef, Jenkins and related dev-ops tools.
. Scripting experience infrastructure and application deployments using dev-ops
. Should be proficient in Private and Public Cloud concepts.
. Proficient in service first for service management processes such as Incident, Change, Problem.
. Ruby, python or Shell script knowledge
Skills that will help you in the role:
. Knowledge of Python language would have added advantage
. Proficient in Application monitoring, analysis and tuning tool like AppD, ELK,OTEL
