Job description
Responsibilities
Planning & Design - To work with engineers and other stakeholders to develop project plans and design the power plant layout, ensuring it meets all technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting & Cost control - To be responsible for preparing and managing the project budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control throughout the project.
Procurement & Resource Management - To oversee the procurement of equipment, materials and services required for power plant construction as well as manage the allocation of resources, such as labor and machinery.
Strategy - Oversee implementation of technological initiatives for Thermal Project to improve business efficiency and value generation.
Project Execution & Monitoring - To lead the project team in executing the construction and installation activities, ensuring that they are completed on time and within quality standards. Regular monitoring and reporting of the project progress would also be essential.
- Establish the accountability of systems and processes in terms of location, resources, equipment etc. so that all activities are performed smoothly.
- Guide project team for vendor selection, contract finalization and contract management to ensure that negotiations provide maximum benefit to the business.
- Implement lessons learnt and guide all project team.
- Enable capability development of employees within the Site teams by overseeing implementation of appropriate systems and policies.
Project Management - Manage optimization of the overall project such as finalization of plot, design and balance of plant, flexibility, and margins to ensure that project is executed at lowest cost.
- Guide team on manpower, safety, and quality standards to ensure delivery of the project within all budgeted parameters.
- Lead the finalization of technical specifications for Boiler, Turbine and BoP plants and selection of contractors to ensure that equipment is received as per project requirements.
Qualifications Educational Qualification: - Bachelor's degreein Mechanical domain
- Masters will be an added advantage
Experience Required Minimum 25-30 years of experience in Thermal Project ( End to end exposure of minimum one super Critical Power plant project)
The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent project Management skills.
Age Criteria- Incumbent with the age group of 50-55 years.
