Our Analytics team comprises product & data analysts who focus on improving merchant / product / stakeholder experience by providing top-line reporting solutions, business intelligence analytics and operational monitoring solutions to product and engineering teams by providing actionable insights, Identifying potential opportunities. The Analytics function operates in a centralised manner and cuts through all engineering, product and marketing teams @ Razorpay.
Job Summary We're currently looking for the Head of Analytics with at least 5 years of leadership in managing analytics functions across a spectrum of product & operational ecosystems. This leader should bring excellent strategic thinking and analytical frameworks to up level the team and current operating model, expertise in building high performing teams through coaching and development. Thought leadership & cross functional partnerships with stakeholders (engineering, product, marketing, etc) to build next generation analytics solutions. This leader would be expected to further our data-backed culture and create impact through data. This position would report to the VP, Product @ Razorpay.

- Grow the Analytics team both through hiring and coaching, training and mentoring existing team members
- Cultivate an understanding of how analytics connects to business strategy and how analysts can effectively partner with various functional teams to build data-driven strategies and plans.
- Maintain a customer-centric focus: strive to be a domain and product authority through data, develop trust amongst your peers and leaders
- Be an advocate for data-driven everything with the ability to focus on the big picture takeaways of any analysis while being able to speak to the underlying details
What do you need to succeed - 12+ years of overall experience working in analytics with at least 5 years managing large teams including people managers
- Team player who can operate from strategic to ground level
- Leading conceptual technical discussions with data engineering partners and conveying the concerns & solutions to the required audience
- Analytical and strategic thinker with experience solving problems using data and providing practical business insights and driving operational improvements
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, unknown variables, and missing context (and find ways to bridge those gaps, when necessary)
- Experience in implementing testing models like hypothesis, regression, etc to move the team to predictive and prescriptive analysis
- Self-starter, motivated individual who works well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Operational analytics and process improvement experience
- Detail-oriented and an experienced multitasker
- Experience in prioritising projects / deliverables w.r.t. organisational vision
