Project Description:
The Team Lead / Senior Developer will be responsible for leading the Discovery Phase for Legacy Modernization for Supply chain systems. The project aims to modernize the existing legacy systems to optimize business processes and improve overall efficiency.
General Position Overview: The Team Lead / Senior Developer would be hands on and leading the technical team responsible for modernizing mainframe systems. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies with primary expertise in COBOL and DB2/z. The position requires proficiency in IBM DB2, IBM IMS, Job Control Language, and PL/1.
Candidate's Responsibilities: Lead the technical team responsible for Mainframe system modernization
Analyze the existing legacy systems to identify business processes that need improvement
Should be able to read the code and extract and document the business rules
Develop and design modernization strategies, including migration, decomposition, and rewrite
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that project deliverables meet their requirements and expectations within budget and timelines
Provide mentorship and guidance to the team, ensuring that they maintain the project's standards and objectives
Requirements:
Proficiency in Mainframe technologies Hands-on expertise in COBOL and DB2/z
Familiarity with IBM DB2, IBM IMS, Job Control Language, and PL/1 is a must Nice to have skills in Neo4J, REXX, and SQL
