Overview:
As an Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon you will play a crucial role in providing specialized eye care and performing advanced phacoemulsification surgeries. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various ocular conditions.
- Perform phacoemulsification surgeries to remove cataracts and restore vision.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to formulate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
- Communicate effectively with patients explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Stay updated with latest advancements in ophthalmology and surgical techniques.
- Document patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in educational and outreach programs related to eye health and disease prevention.
- Contribute to clinical research and publications in the field of ophthalmology.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Completion of residency training in Ophthalmology.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology and subspecialization in Phaco Surgery.
- Licensure to practice as an Ophthalmologist in the relevant location.
- Demonstrated experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries independently.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively.
- Commitment to upholding medical ethics and standards of patient care.
- Proficiency in using ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment.
