Job description
Cyclo Transmissions Ltd is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Purchase Engineer to join our procurement team. As a Purchase Engineer, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials and components needed for our manufacturing processes. You will work closely with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of goods. We are seeking a candidate with excellent analytical and negotiation skills, as well as a strong understanding of the procurement process. Responsibilities - Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns
- Work with cross-functional teams to determine material requirements
- Manage inventory levels and ensure availability of materials
- Analyze market trends and develop strategies for cost reduction
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and supplier information
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize procurement processes
- Stay current with industry trends and developments
Requirements - Proven experience as a Purchase Engineer or similar role in the Gear Box manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
