KAS Direct Sourcing (India) Private Limited is a part of KAS Group Asia (KGA), the exclusive direct sourcing arm of Kmart Group that operates the iconic retail brands Kmart Australia, Target Australia and Catch. Primary Role - Responsible for creating, delivering and governing the strategy for Apparel business.
- The role involves putting together the strategy by understanding what is relevant for the business today and building the capabilities for the future that serves Kmart's low-cost positioning in the market.
- The role then involves framing, executing and governing projects across initiatives to ensure that as a sourcing team, we are spending our time and resources on the most value-added activities for the company.
Work Experience - Years of Experience -- 10-15 years
- Strategy, Business, Operations Management, Computer Science or Commerce
- Ex consulting work experience esp. in sourcing is added advantage.
- Work experience in sourcing/ retail would be a plus.
Technical Skills Required - Strategy formulation - breaking complex issues into projects and value generation opportunities.
- Communication, Building storylines, business cases, presentations (ppt)
- Project management skillset - project plans, KPIs, governance
- Knowledge of sourcing processes, systems and daily operations and retail would be an advantage.
- Sound analytical/ problem solving skills and familiarity in dealing with data and working with excel.
Traits / Abilities - Strategic mindset - Ability to think through in a structured fashion and draw linkages in a complex business context and focus on what drives value.
- Ability to manoeuvre multiple initiatives and prioritize based on business needs.
- Complex stakeholder management: Ability to lead discussions, manage and influence senior stakeholders independently.
