We are looking for an Ecommerce Manager from a D2C background who believes in our mission and wants to contribute to a positive change in the world by building a scalable Direct-to-Consumer business. Whether it is improving product listings or managing operations we are looking for an experienced professional who loves growing a D2C business. Job Description Job Title: Head of Marketing - Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Brand Location: Kolkata Overview: We are seeking a strategic and innovative Head of Marketing to lead our direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand's marketing efforts. This role will be instrumental in driving growth, enhancing brand visibility, and maximizing revenue through effective marketing strategies across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in e-commerce, performance marketing, content creation, product planning, and inventory management, coupled with exceptional leadership and strategic vision. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: ● Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's objectives and growth targets. ● Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of marketing initiatives with product development, sales, and operational goals. ● Continuously evaluate market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Ecommerce and Digital Marketing: ● Oversee the development and optimization of the brand's Website to drive online sales and enhance customer experience. ● Lead digital marketing efforts, including paid advertising, SEO, SEM, and social media, to increase brand visibility and drive traffic to digital channels. ● Analyze digital marketing performance metrics and leverage insights to optimize campaigns, improve ROI, and drive revenue growth. Marketplaces Management: ● Lead the development and execution of strategies to expand the brand's presence and sales on third-party marketplaces such as Amazon, Myntra, Nykaa, and others. ● Oversee the optimization of product listings, pricing, and promotions on marketplaces to drive sales and maximize profitability. ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with marketplace platforms and compliance with marketplace policies and guidelines. ● Lead a team dedicated to marketplace management, providing guidance, direction, and support to drive growth and scale marketplace operations effectively. Content Strategy and Creation: ● Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with brand positioning and resonates with target audiences across various digital platforms. ● Lead the creation of compelling and engaging content, including website copy, blog articles, social media posts, videos, and graphics. ● Ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone, and visual identity across all marketing channels and touchpoints. Product Planning and Launch: ● Collaborate with the product development team to identify market opportunities, develop product roadmaps, and drive innovation. ● Lead the go-to-market strategy for new product launches, including product positioning, pricing, messaging, and promotional activities. ● Utilize market research and consumer insights to inform product development decisions and ensure alignment with customer needs and preferences. Inventory Management and Demand Forecasting: ● Partner with the operations team to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure product availability to meet customer demand. ● Implement inventory planning strategies to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and improve inventory turnover rates. ● Monitor inventory KPIs and key metrics, analyze trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory management processes. Team Leadership and Development: ● Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. ● Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous learning. ● Cultivate a strong brand culture internally and externally, driving employee engagement and brand advocacy. Qualifications: ● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. MBA preferred. ● Years of progressive experience in marketing roles, with 5-7 years of experience in leadership or managerial positions. ● Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving KPIs in the D2C or e-commerce industry. ● Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies. ● Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams. ● Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce platforms, digital marketing channels, content creation, and product management. ● Experience with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain management preferred. ● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
