The Opportunity:

• HSBC is looking for analyst in the Regional Sustainability Team within Asia Commercial Banking (CMB) in Bangalore. The purpose of this role is to accelerate CMB's sustainability business through supporting our business and clients through their transition journey whilst originating and structuring sustainable financing and non-financing solutions.

We aim to support our existing and future customers to adapt their operations and business models to be more sustainable, whether through financial services or non-financing solutions. To achieve our level of ambition, we need to invest and transform our people, offering, model and capabilities.
• The role holder will work with the Regional Sustainability Team, and key partners to engage on sustainable financing and non-financing solutions. The role is expected to be geographically aligned to primarily support ASP CMB markets.

What you'll do: In this role, you will,

• Manage regional MI on Sustainable Finance deals to provide visibility to regional and country senior management and support internal and external reporting requirements, including pipelines. This includes
• Coordinate the monthly pipeline refresh
• Reconciliation against approved and closed deals, and any deal exceptions from a reporting point of view
• Create monthly Sustainable Finance dashboard (for Region and Markets), including following up with the baseline financials, learning data, and other MI needed for the initiatives that are being initiated across ASP – and analysing the trends
• Preparation of any regional MI and reporting to support risk management efforts
• Develop and prepare qualitative and quantitative analysis leveraging external and internal data sources independently as required
• Lead specific projects as required
• The role is part of GBM Service Center and based at Bangalore

Qualifications

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• Strong business acumen with customer centric mindset,
• Passionate about the ESG agenda
• Be a Self-starter and comfortable with ambiguity with strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
• Good understanding of creating strategic insights using available data internally and from external sources to help identify business development opportunities.
• Very strong analytical and presentation skills, with excellent grasp of PowerPoint / excel / word and ability to distil large quantities of information into key themes / issues
• Understanding of data science, visualization tools, Excel VBA, MS Access would be added advantage
• Be able to work effectively under pressure and with multiple stakeholders
• Traits: Highly motivated; strong work ethic; thrives under pressure, confident, team player.
• Exceptionally qualified Graduates from B-schools (with good CGPA score) or CA's with Big four (E&Y, PWC, Deloitte, KPMG) experience
• Preferably, 1-3 years of relevant work experience in supporting senior management, COO office etc (e.g. in business management)
