Roles & Responsibilities

Customer Interaction and Support:

• The primary role involves interacting with customers to address their inquiries, complaints, and other feedback
• Provide high-quality support through email, chat, phone, or social media
• The specialist must efficiently resolve customer issues, which may include technical problems related to the e-commerce platform, order processing,
• shipping, refunds, and other service-related issues Manage sensitive issues with empathy and discretion
• Resolve conflicts and negotiate with customers when necessary

Knowledge of E-Commerce Platforms:

• A deep understanding of the specific e-commerce platform(s) like Shopify, Zendesk, etc. used by the company is crucial
• This includes familiarity with the backend systems, order processing, inventory management, and other related functionalities
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues related to the platform

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• The role might involve analyzing customer feedback and support metrics to identify trends, and areas for improvement, and to report on customer support performance
• Prepare regular reports on customer interaction trends and issues
• Analyze data to understand customer behaviour and expectations
• Work with other departments (like sales and marketing) to align customer
• support with overall business goals

Process Improvement:

• The specialist is often responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in customer support processes and strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Analyze customer feedback to identify patterns and areas for improvement
• Suggest enhancements to the customer support process
• Implement new technologies or methodologies to enhance customer experience

Multitasking and Prioritization:

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize them effectively to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.

This job typically requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Prior experience in customer support, especially in an e-commerce environment, is often essential.

This Role Requires:

• A bachelor's or higher degree in business, communications, or a related field is often preferred
• Minimum of 5-year experience in customer service for international online marketplaces (eBay, TradeMe, Amazon, TheMarket, Shopify, Newegg, Rakuten, etc) & shipping software including other customer service portals
• Proficiency in eCommerce platforms and customer service software
• Strong E-commerce background
• Leadership Qualities: Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Customer-Centric Mindset: Focus on delivering exceptional customer service
• Quick learner with the ability to absorb extensive information on our brand's history, product offerings, and communications/advertising program
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, great phone etiquette, and elevated speech
• Proactive personality and self-motivator
• Demonstrates initiative with the ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Proven to be organized, methodical, and rigorous
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new applications quickly
• Team player able to develop great relations with co-workers
