Job description
Purpose of the position:
The position holder has to provide the support to Area Manager SHEQ & shift engineers (Region north India) in the area of safety of plant operations and maintenance to achieve nil accident. The safety Executive is required in the plant to ensure and comply with the requirement of Factory Act & state Factories Rules .
Principal responsibilities:
- Provide local SHEQ support to assist the business with developing, implementing and sustaining local SHEQ strategies, process, programs and standards including behavioral SHEQ.
- Conduct and assist with the development of formal SHEQ training, such as Hazard ID and Risk Assessment, permit to work, Lockout/ Tagout.
- Carry out detailed job safety studies of selected jobs.
- To check and evaluate the effectiveness of action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries.
- To support on matters related to carrying out plant safety inspections and verify with physical condition and actions to take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
- Investigate the dangerous occurrences and industrial diseases as per the rule.
- Responsible for maintenance of records related to accidents, dangerous occurrences and industrial diseases.
- Be a part of the safety committees.
- To organize the competitions, contests which promotes the safety culture
- Responds quickly in dealing with customer feedback.
- Identify lessons learned from incidents and share throughout the region
- Make Synopsys of New Policies & Procedures & support the Regional SHEQ management to roll out.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Act as an administrator for Behavioral SHEQ programs.
- Follow-up pending actions related to incidents in LiDAP
- Data collection on Environment, Audit Corrective Actions, 3rd Party (Govt. Agencies) visits.

Required qualifications/experience:
- The incumbent must be a diploma in engineering/ science graduate with a diploma in safety management.
- Must be having at least 5 yrs of experience with a background in safety.
- Should be physically fit to be Lead Emergency Responder
