And our team is ready for YOU. To show the world what you can do. Key Accountabilities / How You Will Spend Your Days - Resource Planning Effectiveness:
- Establish a resource deployment strategy and governance model in an agile software development environment
- Define standards and process for resource deployment and coach the front-line leadership (technology teams/ scrum teams) for ongoing implementation
- Prioritize open roles closely working with front-line leadership and HR-TA to ensure on time staffing for key projects
- Analyze the capacity gaps at technical team/scrum team level and establish a big picture for effective decisions by business leaders
- Develop deeper understanding of the level mix, diversity of the teams etc., to align with current and future workforce needs
- Efficient deployment of new hires into the projects by establishing a new hire deployment process
- Track number of projects ongoing at any point of time with the resources, utilization of resources, time booking governance in the respective business area
- Collaborate with workforce planning to develop a comprehensive recruitment implementation action plan in alignment with the business talent requirements including agency resources
- Enable leaders to take informed decisions based on key recruitment metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Key Performance Indicators: - Improved hiring velocity (reduced ongoing vacancy rate)
- YoY capacity vs. projects delivered (Average no of stories per employee)
- Efficient utilization of resources (Utilization rate)
- Leverage ecosystem partnerships for resource planning and deployment (for agency employees)
- Resource deployment/ utilization improvement:
- Establish a process to track the over utilization / under utilization areas and balancing of resources
- Bring the open requirements to the cross functional teams to enable the internal talents mobility
- Enable the critical resources succession planning with the technical teams / scrum teams
- Liaison with Learning and Development function to enable the opportunities for professional development, training programs, mentorship, and career advancement
- Support to implement recognition programs and performance-based rewards to acknowledge and appreciate employees' contributions and achievements
- Drive and track the mentoring / coaching sessions within the Business
Key Performance Indicators: - Leverage ecosystem partnerships (for learning and development)
- Improved work-life balance (engagement survey scores)
- Improved talent mobility across teams (internal fill rate)
- Upskill/ Reskill Model Implementation:
- Collaborate with learning and development team to identify skill gaps within the organization and develop comprehensive reskilling plans
- Monitor the progress of reskilling initiatives and provide regular reports on their effectiveness.
- Implement the technology roadmap outcomes from workforce planning inline with the Customer shift, product shift, competency shifts
Key Performance Indicators: - Improved retention of resources (attrition rate)
- Ratio of upskill/reskill employees to overall headcount
- Redesign Implementation:
- Identify the opportunities of process automation, automating repetitive tasks to increase the productivity and efficiency
- Benchmark the processes with industry best practices to identify the areas of improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign processes and workflows
Key Performance Indicators: - Number of process automation implemented
- Increase in productivity and efficiency (number of projects with same resources)
- Continuous improvement proposals
Key Year One Deliverables: - Achieve a 10% improvement in resource utilization by identifying and reallocating underutilized resources through data-driven analysis of project demands and resource availability.
- Maintain a resource allocation accuracy rate of 90% by matching the skills and expertise of engineers to project needs.
- Defining a 3-year roadmap for talent reskill/upskill plan. Partner with vendors on the upskill/reskill strategy implementation
- Improve the hiring velocity by 10% and the impact in the business is visible
- Implement minimum of 1 continuous improvement per quarter and 1 automation in a half year
Technical Knowledge And Skills - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A nimble business mind with proven experience in engineering operations or a similar leadership role within the automotive or technology industry.
- Strong understanding of Software product Development Life Cycle / Agile methodologies and other engineering processes
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies with knowledge of Project & Product Management Tools - JIRA, Product Board
- Ability to influence and change the thinking of others while maintaining productive relationships.
- Experience in resource planning and business continuity planning.
- Experience with AI based application(s) for data analysis and insights to drive operational excellence and decision making will be an added advantage.
