Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
Collaborate with the planning team to optimize resource allocation and production efficiency.
Process Optimization:
Evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and minimize waste.
Quality Control:
Establish and maintain rigorous quality control standards throughout the production process.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to identify and address any product defects or deviations from standards.
Team Leadership:
Lead and inspire a team of production supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
Health and Safety:
Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
Implement measures to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
Resource Management:
Manage and optimize the utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials to meet production goals.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes and implement best practices.
Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to enhance the competitiveness of the manufacturing operations.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular reports on production performance, including key metrics, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and engineering, to align production activities with organizational goals.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Proven experience in a senior production management role within a manufacturing setting, preferably in the power generation industry.
