Position Purpose
BNP Paribas GSO is seeking a proactive and creative team player to work as a SME in the team. The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong know how of the process and act as an effective back-up to his/her supervisor. The position will work closely with the Fund Accounting.
Responsibilities Direct Responsibilities The scope to be managed corresponds to all BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S) clients for which FA services have been opted.
Service Delivery: - Business Implementation (BI) is responsible for processing all the setups for major events like New Fund Launch, New Share Class launch, Expense setup creation/change and any other events related to the life of a fund.
- The role requires understanding and monitoring of the accuracy of client onboarding materials as well as materials for the events related to the funds.
- Role involves hands on involvement in the activities of the team and be part of the preparation/review of tasks
- Ability to analyze each event, study its feasibility, instructs and controls the settings to the support and operational teams.
- Liaise with several BP2S teams viz, FA, Referential, Reconciliation, Custody, Pricing and Data Administration, Application Support
- Work with Hub/Legacy/Home Locations to ensure clear communication with clients and external participants for timely receipt of data and materials
- He/She is responsible of the transfer of the event to operational and fund accounting teams, assuring a smooth transition to production. He/She will update the procedures and will be able to make proposals to his Senior Manager to improve the process.
- He/She will ensure that the accounting team is able to produce the NAV according to the client's requirements and without reducing productivity and quality.

- He/She will participate to the implementation of new products, instruments and processes within the fund administration department under the responsibility of his/her Senior Manager and in relation with Business Change Management team.
- He/She will report to his Senior Manager on the smooth running of the events for which he/she is responsible.
Financial: - Adhere to Quality of 100% while producing & reviewing all Events.
- Ensure there is NO Financial impact/loss to the organization.
People: - Updating colleagues/team adequately on any changes/new events impacting BAU. Should be proactively escalating any relevant issue to reporting manager.
- Supporting the staff training requirement & ensure all the necessary training has been provided to the team members to perform the relevant tasks.
- Participating in Daily Team huddles, Weekly Team meetings.
- Develop other SMEs and ensure that, the Back-up management tool is in place.
Risk Management: - Enforce 100% compliance of ISAE3402. Carry out sample testing on daily basis & document the results.
- Identify the manual steps, process efficiencies & developments, by providing practical ideas on areas of improvements & work towards its automation.
Contributing Responsibilities - Monitor the respective group mail box and ensure queries are responded in a timely manner.
- Adhere to timeliness and quality as stated in SLA.
- Ensure there is sufficient back-up within the team in absence of other team members.
- Assist supervisor in resource planning and BAU planning.
- Continuously strive to improve the process and bring efficiency in the chain
- To share the process/product knowledge with fellow team members.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies - Through and Deep Knowledge of Fund accounting processes and procedures (senior level)
- Ability to be hands on and participate in processing/review of work as necessary
- Advanced Skills: VLOOKUP and Transco (recovery file), performance calculation (table of 'variable management fees'), pivot table, etc.
- Skills related to project management: attention to detail, organized, coordination, reporting
- Knowledge in Multifonds Accounting tool is an advantage
- Client focus with aim to deliver client needs
- Ability to communicate to others in a clear, articulate fashion, both written and verbal
