Job description

Your main tasks includes the overall team management, resource planning, project reviews executed by the team, competence development of the team, monitoring deliveries, communication with various PCs and GECIA competence teams. Develop and coach the team to take more challenges to support the Product Companies in EUROPE NASA region (NLY UTF).

You will support to ensure that the following Project Management activities in the Product Company are executed properly with on time delivery and the First time right approach.

  1. Project Management
    • To manage and review the projects handled by the team as per the commitment to the customers to deliver them on time with first time right approach.
    • To review and ensure the proper coordination of the team acting as a one point contact with the involved stake holders such as Product Company Project Managers, Customers, Consultant, Supplier Customer Centres To manage orders, achieving client satisfaction in terms of delivery and technical requirements.
    • To monitor the overall progress of projects handled by the team against schedule and milestones reporting to management, as well as providing early warning of potential slippage, in case of the latter.
    • To keep management well informed on the high level aspects of project execution.
    • Maintain detailed project files and applicable records in common server Project Management System software.
    • To ensure that the team follow-ups with supplier factory for manufacturing status and provide the monthly progress status in the customer/ AC format to the customer.
    • To be responsible for proper review and processing of variations and claims received from customer and factory.
    • Travel to customer premises or sub-vendor locations as required to ensure smooth execution of project.
    • Lead, organize and coordinate the assigned project work during all project phases.
    • To manage the project budget, procurement and schedules for various projects of all the Product Companies involved in the project package / contract.
    • Ensure that the team provide approved documents along with manufacturing schedule based on the commercial situation, inventory time frame to the factory supplier.
    • Ensure that the team proposes remedial actions when needed so that the contract completion data for the work is not jeopardized.
  1. Project Engineering
    • To ensure that the team is able to read understand the tender requirement convert in to the technical document by maintaining the overall profit level of the project.
    • To support and train the team for the creation Submission of engineering documents to customer/consultant as per the MDL follow-up for the approval to ensure completion of engineering within defined time frame.
    • To coordinate within internal teams factory for documents.
    • To attend technical meetings at customer/consultant s place to ensure resolution of technical queries of customer to get final approval on engineering documents, whenever necessary.
    • To review the Engineering documents and provide inputs to sourcing team for bought out items follow-up with supplier for the documents. Review the supplier s document wrt to tender process requirement before submission.

    • To review the status of document control team activities and ensure that the document control team executes the work as plan and customer commitment.

To succeed, you will need-

Experience requirements

8 to 12 years experience in project management/engineering from rotatory machinery design manufacturing industry.
