Position
Looking for a Lead who holds expertise on Automation Testing.

Requirement
- Expertise in Programming languages such as Java
- Experience with load/performance testing of REST APIs using ApacheBench/JMeter/LoadUI
- Proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python, Shell scripting
- Expertise in developing test automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress
- Experience in developing Continuous Integration pipelines using Jenkins, GIT HUB Actions

Job Description : Genesys Web Service team is responsible for design, development, and deployment of Open Platform APIs in both Cloud as well as in premise. This APIs help customers access Engage Platform functionalities and thereby they can integrate these APIs into their own product to provide a integrated environment to its agent. The GWS suites of components are developed in Java and spring framework and it uses Redis, Elastic Search, Cassandra for storing and retrieving data with ease. Also it uses latest tools such as github actions for its CI/CD and uses prometheus and grafana cloud for monitoring and Logging.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team. Help team members with problem-solving and decision-making related to technical issues.
• Architecture and Design: Participate in the architectural and design discussions, ensuring that the technical solutions align with project goals and are scalable and maintainable.
• Code Reviews: Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to coding standards.
Quality Assurance:
• Testing and QA: Ensure that appropriate testing practices are followed, and the software is thoroughly tested to meet quality standards.
• Code Quality: Enforce coding standards and best practices to maintain code quality, readability, and maintainability.
• Documentation: Promote proper documentation of code, technical decisions, and system architecture.
Technical Innovation:
• Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when they can benefit the project.
• Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team, always seeking ways to enhance development processes and efficiency.
Stakeholder Interaction:
• Requirements Analysis: Work closely with clients or stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that the technical solutions align with their needs.
• Feedback Handling: Gather and incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders into the development process.
Security and Compliance:
• Security: Ensure that the software follows security best practices and standards to protect against vulnerabilities and data breaches.
• Compliance: Ensure that the software complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Team Collaboration:
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams (e.g., QA, DevOps, UX) to ensure a smooth and efficient development process.

Minimum Requirements: - Previous experience working in software engineering domain (5 – 7 years)
- Expertise in Programming languages such as Java
- Experience with load/performance testing of REST APIs using ApacheBench/JMeter/LoadUI
- Proficiency in a scripting language, such as Python, Shell scripting
- Expertise in developing test automation frameworks like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress
- Experience in developing Continuous Integration pipelines using Jenkins, GIT HUB Actions
- Experience with version control software such as GIT/GITHUB

Desirable Skills: - Knowledge of Spring framework and Spring Boot
- Knowledge of working with any one DB (Redis, SQL)
- Monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana
- Experience with Cloud Environment (AWS OR Azure)
- Agile / Scrum methodologies
