Job Description

  • As our BI Analyst, you'll be part of a team of BI Analysts located in Mumbai.
  • You'll report directly to the BI Engineering Manager, who's also based in Mumbai.
  • The role is responsible for improving the quality of existing reports, migrating reports to different formats or tools, and creating a new catalogue of strategic reports that enable our One Third Bridge vision.
  • You'll create business intelligence and data visualisation reports using SQL skills and common BI tools, including Microsoft PowerBI and Google Data Studio.
  • Occasionally you may be asked to produce ad hoc reports in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
  • All reports are created from data stored in Google BigQuery.
  • You'll work directly with the BI Product Manager to design, produce and test BI reports and liaise with stakeholders from across the business to understand and deliver their BI reporting requirements.
  • You may also work with other Technology colleagues to improve the way data is ingested from SaaS and in-house systems into Google BigQuery.
  • You'll ensure reports are produced to a high standard and on time and manage stakeholder expectations around content and delivery schedule.
  • You will produce reports using data visualisation software and implement SQL standards and best practices across the team, interpret and understand business rules and financial formulae and translate them into performant SQL code for the purposes of reporting or for inclusion in our internal software.
  • You and the team will ensure our report catalogue is maintained and up-to-date, retiring discontinued reports that are no longer needed for our strategic One Third Bridge BI function.
  • Working with our Data team you will support the adherence to good data governance procedures.

Qualifications

  • Advanced SQL/PLSQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, data warehouses and query authoring.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills remote/global
  • At least 3 years of experience in delivering BI reports and Insights using using preferably Microsoft PowerBI or any visualization tool, Google Data Studio, Google BigQuery data warehouse, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong Analytical skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
  • Strong command on written and verbal communication in English.
  • Experience building and optimising data sets.
  • Experience of working with data visualisation software and data report production, PowerBI is essential and Google Data Studio is preferred
  • Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures and workload management.Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
