Job description
Model N India is looking for a PMTS (Role - Technical Manager)
This position requires a hands on senior technical resource who is capable of mentoring the team from both a technical and managerial perspective
Responsible for delivering on projects and ensuring that the delivery is of the highest quality through enforcing required processes
Also responsible for ensuring that the career aspirations of team members are met by setting appropriate goals and monitoring and guiding them
Responsibilities
Manage and motivate a team of up to 10 developers
Understand and manage the complete product development life cycle
Introduce, monitor and improve processes that will help deliver high quality code.
Work within a dynamic environment and interface with other products, product managers, PMO, documentation writers and build and release engineers in a very efficient manner
Conduct annual appraisals for all reportees.
Ensure goal setting and periodic review of all reportees.
Job Qualifications:
10+ years of experience within the software industry and 2+ years of experience managing developers, preferably in a product development environment
Strong mentorship skills and a proven track record is a must
Knowledge of Agile Processes a strong plus
Knowledge of processes such as code review / design review is a must. Must have proven record of implementing said processes.
Knowledge of tools for code review, performance monitoring, unit test automation etc is a must.
Strong object-oriented design and Java programming skills.
Understanding of database fundamentals
Experience with Big Data technologies like Spark, Hadoop will be an added advantage.
