Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team at Trident Dispatch. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with 4 to 6 years of experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to assess and manage project risks effectively.
  • Experience in preparing and interpreting financial reports.
  • Knowledge of bills preparation and procurement processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Familiarity with local building regulations and construction practices.
  • Certification or membership with a professional quantity surveying organization is a plus.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and negotiate contracts, budgets, estimates, and bills of quantities.
  • Assist in the selection and procurement of materials for construction projects.
  • Evaluate and manage project risks, ensuring appropriate risk assessment and risk management techniques are utilized.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including cost estimates, to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Measure and value the work done on-site and liaise with contractors to ensure accurate billing and payments.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the project team.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify work progress and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the construction process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.
