Senior Manager - Technical Accounting and Operations
Hyderabad Office
Position Overview:
Nine Advisory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Technical Accounting and Operations to join our team in the Hyderabad office. This pivotal role will be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality control over all outputs pertaining to Australian taxation and accounting work. The ideal candidate will be a cornerstone for our operations, supporting both the Head of Operations and the Director, and playing a crucial role in our mission to aid SMEs through enhanced systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure quality control for all Australian taxation and accounting outputs from the Hyderabad office.
- Provide expert advice and oversight on technical accounting matters, including Division 7A calculations, GST, income tax, fringe benefits tax, and payroll tax.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability in financial statements through meticulous balance sheet and other reconciliations.
- Lead and manage the preparation of management, financial, and statutory reporting.
- Utilize deep knowledge of Australian software systems (XERO, MYOB) to streamline accounting processes.
- Maintain up-to-date expertise in the Australian taxation system and regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting systems, processes, and practices.
- Act as a mentor and technical resource for junior staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Demonstrate strong project management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Showcase the ability to manage and lead teams effectively, ensuring collaboration and productivity.
- Possess excellent training skills to educate and empower team members on technical and procedural aspects.
- Implement strategic planning to optimize team performance and achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CA accreditation preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation, with a proven track record of technical proficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian taxation laws and accounting standards, including a strong understanding of GST, income tax, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, and Division 7A requirements.
- Expertise in Australian payroll systems and processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems like XERO and MYOB.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
