Location : Noida

Key Initiatives And Results Expected

The Director of India Supply Chain is responsible for Zones Supply Chain business in India and adjacent regions. Supply Chain works with Sales on order entry, project management, inventory management and also with Zones suppliers, distributors and OEM partners to accomplish all client requirements at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The role has strategic responsibilities like high-level vendor/partner management and creatively solving for complex client requirements, and inventory strategy; as well as tactical responsibilities like sourcing, quoting, PO creation and management, resolving inbound issues and project management.

  • Negotiate with suppliers/vendors to secure the best overall price considering (price, availability, payment terms, shipping, return privileges, timely delivery, etc.)
  • Collaborate with distributors and manufacturers to negotiate Terms & Conditions for on-boarding.
  • Identify and execute cost savings (TCO initiatives)
  • Develop, engage and maintain alternate sources for constrained and allocated products
  • Execute analyses and make suggestions for improvement of overall sourcing strategy
  • Work on large RFPs for multiple clients
  • Maintain strong inter-departmental relationships to help facilitate achievement of assigned goals
  • Communicate professionally and build relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and other external sources
  • Cost management through sourcing cost reductions, rebates, extended payment terms, distribution warehousing, ship on demand order placement and distributor/mfr. program utilization
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
  • Manages suppliers to include coordination of quality and continuous improvement items related to product, systems, processes, and supplier business reviews providing appropriate data and engaging in resolving issues.
  • Research and develop adequate sources of supply. Utilize supply market knowledge to leverage the best strategy. Assist with cross functional supplier selection activities through formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes.

  • Maintain and increase distributor rebate programs
  • Develop full understanding of current programs, channel economics, opportunities to maximize Zones return
  • Set and ensure compliance of Zones Sourcing Strategy with all groups
  • Intent is to drive sales through the most beneficial channel for Zones. Often this is via distribution where economies of scale and rebate programs enhance efficiencies and backend margin.
  • Transactional Sourcing and Costing
  • Work with PPM and Bid Desk to negotiate large deals for best Zones Total Cost of Ownership advantage
  • Sourcing Team meets SLAs needed to support ongoing business
  • Sourcing team implements SPAs and OSRs on a timely basis to support ongoing business.
  • Support other Sourcing requirements
  • Onboard and Manage Service Delivery Subcontractors. Work with Service Delivery to identify Subcontractors in advance to reduce delays in service execution.
  • Timely RFP response input for Costing. RFPs often have large lists of products where the client wants sourcing information, certification levels, and/or cost. These are large lists to work, and SC has developed an efficient process with WinCentre to quickly identify what is needed, who owns what sections and works to complete our required input within the needed time for response.

Process

  • Maintain and Increase distributor rebate programs
  • Analyze Zones Spend
  • Develop strategic roadmap and timing of RFPs
  • Conduct RFPs to increase Total Cost of Ownership improvements for Zones
  • Reconcile quarterly with Finance and PPM
  • Optimize vendor mix to lower costs, increase rebate
  • Direction to Sourcing team on sourcing preferences
  • Direction to Planners on PO placement preferences
  • Direction to IT on CRM results for Sellers on inventory selected for sale
  • Maintain and train Sales on Zones Sourcing Policy
  • Transactional Sourcing and Costing
  • Work with Bid Desk and PPM on identifying deals, negotiating with vendors to improve economics, considering whether to invest back-end funds to win deals.
  • Oversee best practices for our Sourcing team, ensuring that they support ongoing business within SLA, make decisions and take actions that reflect the overall Zones Sourcing Strategy, and have a high ability to meet client requirements for sourcing, cost and availability.
  • Other Sourcing Requirements
  • Participate in WinCentre kickoff meeting, ensuring clarity on which groups will work which specific columns in client RFP spreadsheets to ensure prompt and competitive responses
  • Agree on SLA for bulk cost response from Sourcing to Sales for margin pricing
  • Address RFP-specific responses as required by WinCentre
  • For Service Delivery Subcontractors, manage the existing base and work efficiently with Service Delivery on what new subcontractors need to be added.
  • Maintain catalog accuracy and perform required audits for five assigned catalogs and support to all stakeholder
  • Train and monitor staff performance in executing SKU management needs of Zones Product Catalogs (ZPCs) and PIM Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Oversee audits of ZPCs on various product attributes and report results on a regular basis.
  • Create and publish reports to improve visibility to PIM process health and overall ZPC data integrity
  • Provide product information support to Global teams during their standard operating hours (local time)

    • SW Item Quote – 8 hours – 80%
    • Cost & Availability - 4 hours – 80%
    • SPA & OSR Load – 1 hours – 80%
    • PIM cases (New Item, Update Item, Add Config – 2 hours – 80%
  • New catalog skus audited weekly for Legal/Finance/Procurement key fields – SLA 10

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Business / IT Graduate (Pref Supply Chain)

Position Overview

The Zones Director of India Supply Chain is an experienced IT channel leader and procurement professional who will determine and execute strategies, conduct vendor assessments, evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO) for deals and ongoing programs and conduct formal RFPs to ensure that Zones clients have the IT products they require at the most competitive costs. Strong analytics and deep familiarity with the enterprise IT channel are essential. Reports to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain and works cross-functionally with India Sales Leader. Direct reports include a Procurement Manager and 10-15 employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Combine IT procurement experience and business analytics to identify strategies to decrease total cost of ownership: freight, vendor terms and programs, value added services, sourcing determination, and inventory holding decisions, strategic management of $2B vendor base.
  • Manage all aspects of RFP, price/cost analysis, negotiation and award of contracts to vendors
  • Develop and maintain excellent vendor management, and model and train vendor management best practices to Supply Planners
  • Partner with internal groups (Bid Desk, Product & Partner Management, Operations, Sales) to improve economics and execution on deals and ongoing businesses.
  • Negotiate supplier participation in inventory strategies that support Zones end clients by leveraging the total supply chain's capital to have inventory when needed by clients reduce risk and increase turn and cash flow
  • Travel as necessary to improve industry knowledge and vendor relationships.

We Are Seeking Candidates With The Following

  • 10+ years of supply chain and procurement experience in enterprise-level IT solutions/VAR channel required. Previous experience at an IT distributor is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IT channel economics, programs and incentives
  • Strong vendor negotiation and management skills and experience required
  • Serious analytical skills to identify business trends, develop strategies, and model expected benefits. Excel skills a must.
  • Organization and documentation experience to build out repeatable processes and documented cost savings and TCO positioning.
  • Personnel management skills to build team and individual skills and job satisfaction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact well with and present to internal and external groups.
  • Consistent 5-Star Customer Service focus.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency and excellence in a dynamic and fast-paced growth environment.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Postgraduate business degree and/or supply chain/negotiation/procurement certifications a plus.
