Job description
The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including customer service, sales, staff management, and compliance.
The successful candidate will lead a team of dedicated professionals to achieve branch targets and deliver exceptional service to customers.
Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficient functioning and adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Drive business growth by achieving sales targets for various banking products and services, including deposits, loans, insurance, mutual funds, and other third-party products.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the branch's customer base and increase market share.
- Recruit, train, and motivate branch staff to deliver superior service and achieve performance targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback and coaching to staff members, and address any performance issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor branch performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Qualification and Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in retail banking, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of banking products and services, including retail lending, deposits, investments, and insurance.
- Strong commitment to ethical conduct, integrity, and customer confidentiality.
