The Database Operations Manager primary function is to run the Operational components of the Database platforms and Collaboration Manager of the India Database, Cloud and SRE teams. Through the use of Jiras Agile tools, this role will track work items related to incident management, request management, proactive and reactive maintenance and capacity reporting. Additionally, this is a technical contributor role to provide technical guidance and deliverables. Primary Responsibilities :- Providing daily direction for Database Operations team members to support the delivery of services assigned to the team and identifying opportunities for team advancement. - Serves as an internal trusted advisor providing cloud technology consulting across multiple project teams, and other IT leaders. - Analyses trends in recurring incident history and collaborates with Engineering to improve design of technology and process. - Implements the standards for monitoring, updating, optimization, redundancy, stability of cloud systems for product teams and operations to adhere to. - Oversight, planning, and execution of departmental database technology projects. Product Owner for Database Operations service. - The product owner is responsible for stakeholder communications for any incident management functions. - Additionally is responsible for orchestrating and facilitating Agile Scrum ceremonies such as daily huddles, managing and prioritizing of backlog of work items and assigning work items to administrators. - As the Collaboration Manager for the Cloud, Database and SRE teams in India, you will be responsible for some administrative duties specific to the India workforce. Hybrid Schedule : 3 days remote/2 days in office 30-day notification period preferred Minimum Qualifications : - Bachelors in Information Systems, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required. - 7 years of proven experience applying data center infrastructure and database technologies - Extensive Knowledge Of Cloud hosting (Azure, AWS) On-Premise hosting SQL and NO-SQL database technologies, that must include MSSQL and at least one of the following : - MongoDB, Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, Database capacity planning and cost optimization, Database Security, Software deployment technologies, Performance monitoring Preferred Qualifications : - Public cloud architecture (Azure and/or AWS) On Premise architecture - Experience with deployment technologies (Jenkins, Azure DevOps) (ref:hirist.tech)
