Job description
Competencies:
- Define scope and objective of the research and development efforts including the research agenda, planning and implementation of research projects
- System study of the products, technology and offerings of the organization vis-à-vis industry benchmarks
- Work with internal and external stakeholders and identify areas of interest for the NLP, AI or Machine Learning intervention
- Role is expected to take initiatives and solve complex business and technical problems, prioritise work and make decisions under challenging environments.
- Develop complex research projects. This includes determining appropriate methodologies and approach, coordinating the work of others, complex research analysis results, presenting results to internal audiences, preparing presentations and properly documenting the project work
- Responsible to facilitate intellectual property generated and file patents
- Responsible to promote an ongoing learning culture in the product development groups spanning across the research and development areas.
- Perform periodic review and assessment of research findings and innovation threads.
Technical Skills: - 5 to 7 years of progressive work experience in the research and development area.
- Excellent understanding of the various R & D methodologies prevalent in the product development space.
- Hands on experience in NLP, AI, Machine Learning, Predictive Modelling and Deep Learning.
- Excellent skills in one or more programming languages.
- Expert research and analytical skills.
- Strong experience in data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Proven track record of publishing technical journals, articles, white papers and or filing patents.
- Experience working in complex, multi-tier applications, breaking down complex business problems in to actionable solutions.
- Hands on implementation of POC of the designed research projects using languages like Python.
- Prior experience in building and enhancing intelligent document processing product
- Prior hands-on experience in building OCR product
- Prior experience in building products to deal with structured and unstructured data – scanned PDF's, loan packages , legal description and Mortgage Packages
Educational Qualification and Experience: Minimum of 15 years of formal education - Graduate / Post Graduate in Computer Science / Information Technology.
Professional work experience of 5 to 7 years
