Position: Manager – Design & Engineering
Job Description:
As an Engineering Design lead at Stonex India, you will play a crucial role in transforming design concepts into precise engineering drawings for our stone products. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the stone products manufacturing industry and a deep understanding of AutoCAD and 3D Max software. You will work closely with renowned Architects, Fabricators and our production team at Kishangarh to ensure the seamless transition from concept to production.
1. Coordinate with architects, client and Fabricator to interpret concept drawings and convert them into precise engineering drawings.
2. Utilize AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Rhino, Blender and alike software to create detailed, dimensioned, and accurate drawings.
3. Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards and regulations.
4. Review and revise drawings as necessary to accommodate design changes or manufacturing requirements.
5. Assist in the selection of materials.
6. Get final sign offs on the drawings from all key stake holders and maintain accurate records of all drawings and design revisions.
7. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering department.
8. Stationed at New Delhi to coordinate amongst architects and visit the production facilities in Kishangarh, Jaipur etc for product design alignment and quality assurance as and when required.
Desired Skill Set
1. Minimum of (5 – 6) years of experience in the stone products or stone processing industry.
2. Education - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering | Architecture or Product Design
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Rhino, Blender and other relevant design software.
4. Strong understanding of stone product manufacturing processes and materials.
5. Excellent attention to detail and precision in drawing work.
6. Solid knowledge of Natural Stone industry standards and regulations.
7. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. Willingness to travel for on-site visits.
