Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing Beverages: Skillfully prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.

  5. Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the coffee preparation area, equipment, and dining area clean and well-maintained. Follow health and safety guidelines.
  6. Stocking and Inventory: Monitor and restock coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies as needed. Keep track of inventory levels and report shortages.
  7. Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including different coffee blends, brewing methods, and specialty drinks. Be able to explain menu items to customers.
  8. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, such as kitchen staff and servers, to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  9. Up-selling: Suggest and promote additional items, such as pastries, snacks, or specialty drinks, to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
  10. Adherence to Policies: Follow company policies, procedures, and standards for quality and service. Adhere to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide friendly and efficient customer service.
  2. Attention to Detail: Ability to pay attention to details, especially in preparing beverages to meet quality standards.
  3. Stamina: Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift and carry supplies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a busy setting.
  5. Knowledge of Coffee: Basic knowledge of different coffee types, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  7. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  8. Previous Experience: While not always required, previous experience as a barista or in the food and beverage industry can be an asset.
