Job description
Developer should have min. 6 Years over all experience.
o Minimum 3 Years programming in an AS400 / iSeries / IBM I Environment.
- Experience in development & efficient designs.
- Good to have working knowledge on ILE Concepts.
- Troubleshoot problems related to RPG iSeries programs and reports.
- Monitor Job Loads, Perform periodic housing keep of log files
- Work on assigned support and enhancement tickets
- Remote monitoring, Disk space management
- Planned Maintenance Activity support
- Trouble shooting performance issue
- User, groups & Privilege Management
- Support I-series environment and the associated Application using it ( Island Pacific, Manhattan & JDA)
- Support the interfaces to other systems
- The scope is only restricted to support the applications not the AS 400 Infrastructure
- Work on all the support/enhancement tickets which are in the queue
- On call support to be covered Including weekends.
- Document the current process and create the runbook for supporting I-series.
- Bring automation to reduce some manual work in the I-series world.
