Overview The Sr. Cyber Security Engineer, Digital and IT Security helps to protect our organization by employing a range of technologies to prevent, detect and manage cyber threats.
You'll be responsible for support and working on engineering of the security tools from an end-to-end aspect. The role is focused to provide end-to-end technical competency in the implementation, configuration, deployment, support operations and enhancement of the security tools, fine tuning current configurations for enhanced detections.
Your skills will support core functions within the Cybersecurity team to improve the core security posture and in the cybersecurity maturity journey. As a Senior you along with other members of Platform engineering team will be collaborating and increase our level of maturity through broad partnerships with wider Digital and IT Teams to implement solutions.
Opportunity Highlights - Collaborate with members of the security team towards implementing, maintaining and upkeep of security platform/tool.
- Working with the security team for transforming designs into configurations and deployment tasks.
- Ensure that daily operations and tasks are properly completed and followed wherever needed.
- Keep the implementations and plan tightly coupled to meet the necessary timeline and expectations.
- Monitor the ticket queue and respond to the ticket/request as per the SLA's.
- Provide technical and implementational support to the aligned area of expertise and provide any inputs wherever needed.
- Escalate issues and liaise with the SME or Manager for matters which may pose as an show stopper.
- Support and work with the team members or extended Digital & IT Team on the assigned security platforms including onsite troubleshooting, RCA, incident reports etc.
- Provide innovative approach or ideas towards automating mundane tasks leading to discussions with the other senior members / management of the team.
- Prepare a planned approach towards solutioning, reporting and documentation of the platform engineering activities.
- Work with the team in identifying initiatives for improving consistency and building maturity to the platform engineering services.
- Bringing to table a positive , problem solving attitude and demonstrating a curious mindset.
- Support in the internal audit and compliance requirements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to lesser experienced team members by the modes of knowledge sharing session or by quick titbit sessions.
- Support the team in driving the development of operational excellence via process , technology and people approach
Skills & Qualifications - 5-7 years of experience in Platform Engineering with exposure to Windows and Linux platforms.
- A minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in security related field in the capacity of an analyst or engineer providing end-to-end implementation and solutions for SSO , SAML integrations, IAM, MS Defender for Endpoint , MS Defender for Cloud solutions. (Must haves)
- Good knowledge on Microsoft M5 suite and Microsoft cloud technologies with an exposure to other security technologies such PAM, DLP.
- Good knowledge and experience working on rules and alerts within MS Defender and other similar tools.
- Good hands-on experience in handling integration and engineering needs of security team.
- Hands-on knowledge in handling SSO,SAML or IAM integration requirements for various software and applications.
- Ability to effectively understand the problem statement and provide quick turn arounds for the stakeholders.
- Self-driven , work with minimal guidance and recognizes the need for guidance and consulted approach tough situations.
- Demonstrated ability to stay abreast securing evolving technology such as cloud and mobile computing.
- Experience and knowledge in various security tools is an added advantage.
- Security+, Microsoft Azure / Cloud certifications , CEH or other industry certifications preferred.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to understand a very complex environment.
- Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills: ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues, alternatives, and recommendations.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities including the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and apply sound business knowledge.
- Expertise in documenting requirements, establishing scope and objectives, and determining the strategy for implementing systems to achieve business goals
