High-Level Role Summary It's a diversity hiring, looking for female leads. Provide effective, appropriate, and relevant learning development expertise to EQ's people, across the group, whilst supporting strategic and group projects as required. Responsible for the delivery of global Learning and Development solutions to EQ Group and providing detailed governance on key learning activities and delivery.
The Group Learning & Development Manager is the first line of contact for all learning requests and will handle additional enquiries for development support, ensuring that there is a consistent and collaborative approach to all events. Additionally, this role ensures a level of governance across all digital and virtual design, together with EQ learning brand and content.
The Group Learning & Development Manager will lead and manage a team of L&D professionals, which may virtual management across the globe. They will take overall responsibility for the effective rollout of all projects and meet core training priorities.
Core Duties/Responsibilities - Scope, build, launch, deliver global development solutions and evaluate their effectiveness/value in supporting the delivery of both EQ and HR's strategic plans, using agreed methodology.
- Understands the business and EQ's products/services, to be able to support various teams with training requirements.
- Lead projects, ensuring both timely and impactful delivery of solutions, as well as successful transition into 'business as usual' offerings.
- Partner with and positively influence senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure development solutions are simple, engaging and transferable to the end user.
- Be able to provide simple, accurate and relevant reporting that demonstrate progress, timely execution, and benefits of outcomes.
- Be a trusted lead L&D contact for specific business areas/countries.
- Ensure content is kept up to date and fit for purpose, referring to subject matter experts and learning partners to review material on a regular, agreed basis.
- Work within Group L&D, collaborating with and supporting peers to proactively seek ways to share best practice, providing support for colleagues with less experience.
- Undertake regular Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify training gaps.
- Ensure projects have a commercial focus, which build long term business value.
- Embed and build training that takes into consideration career (current and/or future) development aligned to job levels.
- Champion varying methods of learning delivery (self-serve, live, virtual, etc.).
- Be an advocate for EQ online training and all compulsory training requirements that the business must implement, develop and monitor.
Management Responsibilities:
- To engage, manage and develop (direct/indirect) L&D team members.
- To improve and support the learning offering that is provided by direct reports (L&D Trainers).
- Have overall accountability for team member's projects and deliverables.
- Plan and coordinate training schedules, ensuring adequate trainer and room availability.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, quarterly PDRs and trainer observations.
- Manage performance appropriately.
- Support career progression/succession planning.

- Ability to learn new systems applicable to training.
Mobility Requirements Occasional travel will be required.
