Job description
- To achieve sales, collection and market penetration targets for their territory with a grower centric approach to sales for value creation and to identify ways to establish innovation products among growers to help them increase their revenue through sustainable business delivery.

Accountabilities
Sales & Commercial Acumen
- End to end accountability for sales, collection and liquidation for Innovation portfolio to growers in line with target assigned
- Ensure proper forecasting and accuracy of sales volume and contribute to Division strategy, strategic agenda and overall management of the business.
- Keeping Sales inventories in control at marketplace
- Effective management of the A&P budget
Defining Strategy
- Has deep knowledge and expertise of the region, crops including Syngenta and the market
- Deep understanding of product and its value proposition to be able to identify right target segments and to-be promotional activities
- Defines the strategy for the region to maximize value for Syngenta and win sustainable business
- Responsible for driving year on year productivity
- Faster and agile decision making and entrepreneurship skills to act as new businesses incubator , nurturing new ideas for future revenue streams
Value Creation
- Create visibility and top of mind recall in grower minds for NPI and innovation products
- Ensure that every territory is creating demand through grower meets
- Responsible for digital roll out for the region
Digitally enabled
- Use of Digital tools for increasing profitability with reduction of non value adding tasks
- Understanding of forecasting tools and ability to manage channel inventory
Grower centricity
- Implements the sales strategy, ensures the sales achievement through good grower relations and offering solutions in problem areas
- Handhold the customer with effective usage of the product to ensure effectively 'push' the products to the grower/farmer level
- Work with a long term vision to create loyal customer for Syngenta products
Stakeholder Engagement
- To maintain good relations with the channel, grower and create higher visibility for Syngenta products in the region assigned.
- Manages the discipline in business processes - product tracking, forecasting and effectively controls sales and liquidations costs
- Ensure regular demand generation activities are conducted and to build relationships with key channel partners
- Manages complaints with effective solutions that are win for the organization and the customer
- Ensure appointment of the right distributors , have account management skills and understand the parameters for evaluating and driving performance
- Liasoning with external stakeholders like Universities, Department of agriculture and key influencers.
Collaboration
- Ensure collaboration among the Innovation and Value sales teams to avoid cannibalization at all times
People Development
- End to end responsibility of the team including the MDOs
- Ensure that team is well equipped with the suit of products applicable with strong technical grip over the products for conducting effective grower meets and support during the season
- Handhold and direct the team members in their development areas to improve their performance
- Ensure that relevant market inputs are available for timely decision making
- Ensure compliance of all activities carried out in his/her team and provides regular compliance updates and trainings to subordinates
Critical Knowledge/skills/experience
- Agri Graduate/Post Graduate, Agri or general MBA with 5 to 10 years of experience in relevant field
- Demonstrated ability for creating market/ segment with long term view
- Excellent technical knowledge of products in the market
- Outstanding communication with group of people and influencing skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership ability
