JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this job is to design, plan, transcribe and execute digital learning materials to support the learning and development needs of Reference Data Operations. The instructional designer will be responsible for developing self-paced courses as well as assessment modules across various data sets. The incumbent will partner up with various stakeholders to create both standardized as well as customized modules targeting specific learning objectives. They will assemble, store, and manage course materials, propose efficient and effective governance processes and liaison with other trainers to ensure consistent and methodical implementation of modules.
Responsibilities
- Partner with subject matter experts, stakeholders and cross functional team members to identify learning needs and objectives effectively.
- Create interactive and innovative eLearning modules to support new initiatives and learning programs requested by management ensuring a high level of quality.
- Develop visually appealing and immersive multimedia content, encompassing videos, simulations, and interactive activities to enhance the learning experience.
- Partner with other trainers to maintain the integrity of the content as outlined within the storyboard, ensuring a seamless learning journey.
- Ensure that content aligns with the best practices in instructional design and learning principles, promoting an effective learning outcome.
- Create and integrate multimedia elements such as audio and video into other educational presentations as well.
- Incorporate micro-learning principles to create bite-sized targeted learning modules for a quick knowledge check.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks and user testing to guarantee error-free and user-friendly eLearning courses.
- Designing and creation of assessment modules.
- Maintenance of library with assessment content.
- Collate and disseminate performance to relevant stakeholders.
- Update and maintain the eLearning modules regularly, keeping them current and relevant.
- Stay on level with the latesteLearning trends and emerging technologies to continually improve our platform.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher required. (Masters in English or Communicative English or Degree in Instructional Design preferred)
- Certification in Instructional Design is a must.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Instructional Design.
- Graphic design and Multimedia experience.
- Understanding of website design best practices.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems.
- Expertise in industry standard design and tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia and similar software.
- Experience in Video and Audio editing software.
- Excellent written and oral communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured, fluid environment.
- Good understanding of the financial services industry is a plus.

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
