Job description

Role Summary: We are searching for an adept Manufacturing Engineer to act as the primary technical liaison for our client's Manufacturing Partner site. In this vital role, you will spearhead initiatives to achieve Operational Excellence (emphasizing Delivery, Quality, and Cost) and Factory Excellence (focusing on capability, efficiency, security, and sustainability). Your expertise in PCBA manufacturing operations and SMT technology will be crucial to your success and impact.

Key Responsibilities: Offer daily technical support for products and tools within the manufacturing framework, ensuring seamless operation and excellence. Facilitate NPI (New Product Introduction) launches and manage existing products at manufacturing partner sites. Coordinate product transitions between various manufacturing locations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. Analyze a wide range of data and programming for quality control and process optimization. Champion initiatives to enhance process efficiency, yield, and consistency across manufacturing sites. Provide expert resolution for technical issues, production halts, material discrepancies, and quality concerns. Own and improve technical quality metrics, mainly focusing on structural testing outcomes. Oversee and implement ECO (Engineering Change Orders) and manage deviations during the bill of materials (BOM) modifications or fabrication adjustments. Maintain and periodically review standard operating procedures (SoP) documents and statistical process control (SPC) specifications. Conduct comprehensive audits of factory processes and maintain rigorous oversight during critical production phases. Engage in proactive communication with the central production operations team to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Qualifications: Who We Are Looking For: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with over five years of experience in an electronics manufacturing setting. In-depth understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, quality systems, and industry standards. Proficiency in statistical methods such as SPC and AQL, particularly in manufacturing. Strong documentation skills and a tenacious approach to root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Exceptional communication abilities, capable of effective interaction with internal teams and external partners. Advanced skills in statistical analysis are considered an asset. Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks, address complex challenges, and drive solutions independently. A genuine eagerness to learn, adaptability, and a flexible approach to work. Demonstrable experience in program management and thriving in a multicultural, global work environment. Leadership qualities that inspire change and collaboration across varied functional groups. Robust business insight and a keen understanding of the commercial landscape. Your role will be pivotal in navigating high-pressure situations, delivering results, and propelling our client's manufacturing processes toward pinnacle achievements.
