Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Japanese Executive Chef. The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen and food preparation, developing and executing menus, ensuring food quality and presentation, and managing kitchen staff. This role will require significant prior experience in Japanese cuisine and culture, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Japanese cuisine and culture, as well as knowledge of other Asian cuisines
• Experience managing large teams of kitchen staff and overseeing kitchen operations
• Ability to create and execute menus that reflect seasonal availability and customer preferences, while maintaining a high level of creativity and innovation
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices, as well as experience managing food costs and inventory
• Certification from a culinary or hospitality program is preferred, but not required
• Fluency in English and Japanese is preferred, but not required
