Job description
We are looking for a team member to support our analytics team based out of US. Robust analytics is a priority for our businesses, as the product potential has major implications to a wide range of disciplines.
- It is essential to have someone who understands and aspires to implement innovative analytics techniques to drive our insights generation across different franchises.
- This role is responsible for executing Immunology global market research projects and managing a consistent, timely market research process across global products. This includes finalizing questionnaires, developing recruiting lists, aggregating data, interpreting results, cross-referencing secondary sources, and reporting findings
- The role requires a close partnership with market researchers based in the US and EU, as well as external agencies that manage panels and collect data on our behalf.
People:
- Maintain effective relationship with the end stakeholders within the allocated GBU and tasks - with an end objective to develop education and communication content as per requirement
- Actively lead and develop SGH operations associates and ensure new technologies are leveraged
- Initiate the contracting process and related documents within defined timelines; and
- Collaborate with global stakeholders for project planning and setting up the timelines

Performance:
- Translates understanding of brand and business needs & beliefs into potential hypotheses, and ensures effective analytical approach for testing hypotheses to find most relevant insights across quantitative MR projects
- Draft research materials (such as questionnaire, discussion guide, stimuli, etc.) to help address the key business objectives.
- Manage market research / programming and fielding vendors.
- Analyze quantitative/qualitative primary market research data to address the key business objectives.
- Develop an impactful PowerPoint presentation and accurately report insights and recommendations.
- Synthesize insight from multiple reports to highlight key brand insights and recommendations for enabling business decisions
- Own methodology instrument design for market research projects for addressing the key business objectives based on guidance provided by key stakeholders
- Translates understanding of brand strategy and client needs & beliefs into likely hypotheses, and ensures analytical approach is effective in testing hypotheses to find most relevant insights
- Prior experience to apply advanced statistical knowledge / survey programming expertise to solve a business problem
- Able to present key insights & recommendations to stakeholders in an engaging way (when appropriate)
- Partner with market research lead across the Sanofi based primarily, but not exclusively, in the US, for high quality execution and on time delivery of the market research projects
- Drives and leads project management through various phases of the project including kick-off, execution, insight generation and data visualizations
- Coordinates feedback on research materials development (e.g. screeners, questionnaires) across key market stakeholders before project initiation
- Participates in relevant project scoping discussions led by market research lead to understand and finalize key business questions and market research needs overall
- Collaborate with research vendor and Sanofi and Regeneron market research leads to develop, share final report and to provide recommendations
- Learn Sanofi compliance requirements and internal processes to initiate new market research projects and then ensure projects are executed compliantly and lead to on time delivery
- Provide appropriate context for study findings based on prior market research, including secondary sources

Process:
- Contribute to overall quality enhancement by ensuring high scientific standards for the outputs
- Secure adherence to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable standards
- Refresh report on frequency/cycle basis (weekly / monthly / quarterly / annually) , along with QC checks for each refresh
- Use latest tools / technologies / methodologies and partner with internal teams to provide support on all sort of regular and adhoc market research activities such as insights distillation, report generation, insights mining etc.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, gather requirements, analyse data, and generate insights and reports that can be used by the GBU

Stakeholder:
- Work closely with global teams and/ external vendors to ensure the end-to-end effective project delivery of the designated publication/medical education deliverables also to prioritize work and deliver on time-sensitive requests
- Be able to provide and defend gathered intelligence, methodology, content, and conclusions to the global leadership in a clear, concise format

About you
- Experience :
- 5-7 years of experience in pharmaceutical product Market Research.
- Experience with an pharma therapy area is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of analysis techniques and use of different approaches;
- Demonstrated leadership and management in driving innovation and automation leveraging advanced statistical and analytical techniques
- Soft skills : Strong learning agility; Ability to manage ambiguous environments, and to adapt to changing needs of the business; Good interpersonal and communication skills; strong presentation skills a must; Team player who is curious, dynamic, result oriented and can work collaboratively; Ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment; Ability to operate effectively in an international matrix environment, with ability to work across time zones; Demonstrated leadership and management in driving innovation and automation leveraging advanced statistical and analytical techniques
- Technical skills :
- Strong quantitative, research, and data analytical skills
- Knowledge of statistical and programming tools (SPSS, Q, or similar)
- Experience in statistical approaches, including conjoint, MaxDiff, linear regression, correlation, factor and cluster analyses a plus; Advanced MS-office skills (MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
- Slide creation skills a plus (i.e. ability to bring creativity to slides vs. text and data heavy-driven slides)
- Experience of using analytical tools like Power BI, Qliksense, Tableau, Smartsheet, and Alteryx etc;
- Expert knowledge of Excel and proficiency in VBA
- Experience of developing and managing dashboards
- Project management abilities; capable of prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously
- An aptitude for problem solving and strategic thinking
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights
- Proven ability to work effectively across all levels of stakeholders and diverse functions
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, supply chain and marketing functions
- Demonstrated leadership and management in driving innovation and automation leveraging advanced statistical and analytical techniques
- Education : Advanced degree in areas such as Management/Statistics/Decision Sciences/Engineering/Life Sciences/ Business Analytics or related field (e.g., PhD / MBA / Masters); 5+ years of market research and analytics experience with demonstrated ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment; Experience with an Immunology focus preferred
- Languages : Excellent knowledge in English and strong communication skills - written and spoken
- Other Requirement: Required to align to US EST work schedule to engage global insights and brand teams; This role is a sole contributor focused on development, delivery and communication of insights
