Domain of Expertise: Energy / Water / Waste Management
Education: Masters / PhD in Energy & Environmental Engineering (TNAU, Model Engineering College, Stella Maris) Roles and Responsibilities Will work on the projects/initiatives to measure, monitor, analyse and optimize the usage of energy and water resources used in our campus to achieve our climate goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030. Researches, analyzes and collects data related to Sustainability Indicators from a variety of sources internal and external to the Campus. May engage KIG students to assist with the data collection process. Writes reports describing findings, recommendations and overall environmental impacts. Identifies areas for improvement, develops recommendations for follow-up action. Presents information to internal audiences. Conducts studies and evaluates how the overall administration processes of Kumaraguru Institutions lead to GHG emissions including Infrastructure, procurement, transport and Hospitality and develop action plans to reduce these levels. Supports outreach efforts to internal and external stakeholders regarding general sustainability information including waste reduction, GHG reduction and overall sustainability progress. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Data Analysis and Interpretation: Proficient in analyzing sustainability data for energy, water, and waste; skilled in identifying patterns and translating insights into actionable recommendations. 2. Knowledge of Sustainability Indicators: Familiarity with key indicators (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions, energy intensity, waste diversion rates) and ability to measure, track, and report on them. 3. Technical Competence: Technical expertise in energy management, water conservation, waste reduction, and relevant technologies; familiarity with audits, assessments, and renewable energy sources.c 4. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; assesses environmental and financial impacts, identifies inefficiencies, and evaluates cost-effectiveness of sustainability projects. 5. Communication and Reporting: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; conveys sustainability concepts effectively and prepares clear reports, presentations, and data visualizations. 6. Project Management: Pr oficient in managing sustainability projects; plans, coordinates, and executes initiatives aligned with organizational objectives, timelines, and budgets. 7. Stakeholder Engagement: Experience in engaging and collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to drive sustainability initiatives; builds relationships and facilitates cooperation. 8. Regulatory Knowledge: Stay informed about environmental regulations, standards, and certifications; ensures organizational adherence to legal and industry obligations. 9. Continuous Learning: Demonstrates a passion for sustainability; commits to ongoing learning and professional development, staying informed about the latest research, trends, and practices.Job tags
