Job description

Looking for Finance Manager – APAC - to manage in-country finance operations and train staff.

Manages a business partnership function (APAC) as well as an ability to work in a matrixed environment with Finance Globally.

Looking for CA / CMA candidates with 12 - 15 years of relevant experience.

Preferred candidates with short notice flexible to work in shifts.

Work location - Dexian India - Chennai.

Responsibilities: -

Creates legal entity-level financial transactions, including the posting of information to accounting software from source documents, including Billing (invoices to customers), cash receipts, Payroll and Accounts Payable (supplier invoices).

In particular, takes great care in the recording overseeing of reconciliation of

intercompany transactions in all participating entities' ledgers.

Establishes and maintains a proper control environment, including segregation of duties.

Manages in-country finance operations and Trains staff.

Reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy, including monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts and periodic reconciliation of other accounts within 20 days of month end.

Responsible for creating accurate, entity-level financial statements and other reports pursuant to local accounting requirements.

Responsible for creating accurate, entity-level financial statements and other reports pursuant to US GAAP and reporting those results to corporate.

Reconcile difference between local and US GAAP financials.

Forecasts cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment. Communicates to Treasury.

Ensures that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements in APAC.

Advises management on the liquidity aspects of its short- and long-range planning.

Coordinates with Treasury regarding the extension of credit to customers.

Works with the International Finance Director to create and maintain an annual budget and periodic forecast updates.

Maintains the entity-level chart of accounts consistent with directives of the Dexian corporate Controller.

Assembles information for external auditors for the annual corporate audit and all local statutory filing requirements.

Drives strategic level process improvements to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Experience in Finance system implementation such as Accounting or Billing system to transition from manual to automation processes.

Manages a business partnership function (APAC) as well as an ability to work in a matrixed environment with Finance Globally.

Performs or oversees the personnel performing the following activities.

Purchase of supplies and equipment as authorized by management.

Tagging and monitoring fixed assets.

Creating bank transactions for the payment of supplier invoices in a timely manner, taking all reasonable discounts on supplier invoices.

Paying all debts as they are due, including intercompany obligations.

Monitoring debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.

Experienced in people management, delegating responsibilities to Accountant, AR and AP to complete seamless monthly accounting, budgeting and forecasting.

Experienced process improvement practitioner with a focus on driving cost reduction.

Execute complex process improvement initiatives affecting multiple functions or businesses.
