Job description
As a Senior Production Lead and Inventory Manager with over 10 years of experience in manufacturing industries, you will play a crucial role in overseeing production processes and managing inventory levels to ensure efficient operations. You will lead a team of production workers, coordinate production schedules, optimize inventory management strategies, and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and minimize costs. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in production leadership, inventory management, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Develop and implement production schedules, coordinating with various departments to meet production targets and customer demands effectively. Utilize advanced inventory management techniques to optimize inventory levels, minimize excess stock, and reduce carrying costs while ensuring materials availability for production needs. Implement inventory control measures to track inventory movements, prevent stockouts, and minimize shrinkage or loss. Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source materials, negotiate supplier contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production schedules. Analyze production and inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and make data-driven decisions to improve inventory management processes. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies in all production and inventory management activities. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and internal departments, to support production and inventory objectives. Provide regular reports and updates to management on production and inventory performance, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in production leadership and inventory management roles within manufacturing industries. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory management principles, and supply chain logistics. Proven track record of successfully leading teams, optimizing production processes, and implementing inventory management strategies. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to improve operations. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners. Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Certifications in production management, inventory control, or supply chain management are a plus.
