About the jobMelbourne/ Sydney- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Developer with extensive experience in the insurance domain to join our team.- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Database management.- They will be responsible for supporting ongoing ETL processes, developing new ETL jobs, and providing technical expertise to the team.Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to support ongoing data processing requirements.- Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into ETL solutions.- Troubleshoot and debug SSIS packages and SQL jobs to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of data.- Act as a technical spokesperson for the team, providing guidance and support on technical matters related to the project.- Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing to enhance the overall team competency.- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in ETL development and data management.Requirements:- 10+ years of experience in ETL development, with a focus on the insurance domain.- Proficiency in SQL and extensive experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).- Strong understanding of SQL Server Database management concepts including views, stored procedures, and job scheduling.- - Experience working with Visual Studio Data Tools and other relevant data add-ons.- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Proven track record of delivering high-quality ETL solutions within tight deadlines.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications :- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies.- Familiarity with other ETL tools and technologies such as Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.- Knowledge of insurance industry data models and processes.- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Azure SQL Database or AWS Redshift.
