We are in search of a passionate and seasoned Senior Lead Backend Engineer/Architect to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize your extensive expertise in backend application development and Envoy to design, construct, and maintain mission-critical infrastructure. Collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders, you will ensure efficient and reliable software delivery, playing a key role in shaping the future of our technology landscape. Your Responsibilities: · Design and Development: Lead the design and development of robust, scalable backend applications, adhering to industry best practices. Utilize Envoy to optimize API traffic management and implement effective service mesh architectures. · Automation and Deployment: Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless and efficient deployments. Analyze and optimize infrastructure architectures for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness. · Production Environment: Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues in production environments to ensure high availability and uptime. · Technology Advancements: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in backend technologies, Envoy, and related tools. · Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning environment within the team. · Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and implement new technologies for enhanced efficiency. · Containerization Savvy: Hands-on experience architecting, designing, and implementing microservices solutions leveraging container-based technologies like Docker, Swarm, Compose, and Kubernetes. · Strategic Vision: Demonstrate strong strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise-wide perspective, ensuring your solutions align with business objectives and long-term goals. · Execution Excellence: Set ambitious yet achievable goals and meticulously execute on them through well-defined plans and actions. Effectively manage competing priorities without compromising delivery timelines. · Influential Leadership: Lead through influence and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders in a complex, global environment. · Communication & Collaboration: Possess outstanding communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Preferred Skills: 8-12 years of experience in backend application development, showcasing strong problem-solving skills. Proven expertise in Envoy and its application in service mesh architectures. Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Experience with API Gateway and Gloo Service Mesh is a plus. Excellent understanding of software development best practices and design principles. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
