Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Generate custom estimates according to clients' requirements.
2. Estimate the specific job costs and timelines relative to material and direct labour cost with hours required to complete the work in our print and finishing operations.
3. Examines specifications, layouts, pricing and schedules to determine the most cost-effective production method.
4. Revise estimates as needed due to specification changes.
5. Perform job cost analysis.
6. Develop knowledge of materials available and recommends cost saving opportunities.
7. Maintain estimating standard procedures.
8. Assure quality standards are met before delivering a quote.
9. Consult with the appropriate department managers to determine production capabilities and optimal production process.
10. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice, cost estimating vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
11. Establish and maintain relationships with outside vendors and industry experts; maintain knowledge of current and new technologies.

4. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Technical/Functional Proficiency Required
1. Strong organizational and analytical skills for planning, monitoring and optimization of production efficiencies

2. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office 

3. Advanced knowledge of estimating strategies and techniques 

4. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all printing processes, paper, ink, computer operation and purchasing etc.

Educational Qualifications
Bachelor/ Master's degree in business, financial, accounting or related field preferred

Experience Level (If applicable)2 or more years' experience as an Cost Estimator specific to Printing & Packaging (Preferably in folding cartons)
