Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced GL Specialist to join our team at Treeline Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. As a GL Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's general ledger. This is a full-time position with a mid-level experience requirement of 4 to 6 years.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's general ledger by reviewing and reconciling accounts
- Assist in month-end closure activities, including preparing journal entries, reviewing financial statements, and conducting variance analysis
- Collaborate with other teams to gather necessary information for financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance
- Perform GL controlling tasks, such as account analysis, cost center management, and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain and update the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Contribute to the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
- Assist in treasury management, including cash flow forecasting and bank reconciliations
- Provide support during external audits and ensure audit findings are addressed and resolved
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as CA Inter is preferred
- 4 to 6 years of experience in general ledger accounting
- Strong knowledge of GL accounting principles and practices
- Experience in month-end closing activities and financial statement preparation
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
