Job Title: Fundraising Manager (for a 50 year old School) Department: Corporate Relations
Reports to: Board Job Overview: The Fundraising Manager will lead the school's fundraising efforts, developing and executing strategies to meet and exceed fundraising targets. This role requires a dynamic individual who can innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of the school, aligning fundraising activities with the school's mission and values. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy in alignment with the school's mission and goals. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals, setting clear targets and monitoring performance. Major Donor Engagement: Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, including alumni, corporations, and philanthropists. Campaign Management: Lead major fundraising campaigns, overseeing planning, execution, and evaluation. Partnership Development: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external organizations to support fundraising goals. Reporting and Compliance: Ensure accurate reporting of fundraising activities and compliance with legal and ethical fundraising standards. Community Engagement: Act as a key ambassador for the school, enhancing its visibility and reputation in the community. Qualifications: Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Non-Profit Management, or related field. Significant experience in fundraising, preferably in an educational or non-profit setting. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising targets. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong network in the fundraising community. Desired Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Strategic thinking and innovative approach to fundraising. Familiarity with digital fundraising tools and CRM systems. Working Conditions: Office setting, with regular travel for meetings and events. Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed for events and donor meetings.
