Job description
Job Purpose · Manage the P & L for Business Banking Liabilities – balance growth, sales, attrition control, revenue and expenses and track the different metrics to ensure the Business achieves profitable growth round the year § Develop strategic plans to make Mashreq a leading player in Business Banking Liabilities. Develop new products & solutions to strengthen and digitize the liability product proposition with a view to achieving an optimum customer experience. · Process & Operational Control - Ensure that all processes pertaining to BB Liability are always streamlined with adequate controls and Identify opportunities to digitize & automate processes across Onboarding and Service journeys across various channels. · Campaign & Offers –Run campaigns/offers for balance growth, new acquisition, attrition control & activations Key Result Areas · Proposed business priorities that could help drive the Liabilities business from both NTB as well as Portfolio customers. Interface with Sales Teams and Relationship Managers on an ongoing basis to ensure these teams are aligned to the Business statregy · Analyze penetration of existing products and develop new solutions (either in House Or through external Service Providers) with a view to augment the Liabilities propositon and generate incremental revenue/reduce costs wherever feasible · Structure effective advertising and promotional plans by utilizing the Marketing budgetjudiciously · Execute Portfolio management initiatives · Work closely with Alternate Channels team & Debit Cards teams for different initiatives pertaining to Business Banking clients to reduce costs and ensure an enhanced customer experience · Work closely with Corporate Banking team to build up CMS (Cash Management Service) proposition for Business Banking clients · Work towards Portfolio management for assigned client set on an ongoing basis with a focus on purging/upgrading/ downgrading customers depending on customer profile and transaction history · Work with BIU team to analyze customer data and propose actionables to enhance product profitability and increase customer stickiness Key Result Areas · Proposed business priorities that could help drive the Liabilities business from both NTB as well as Portfolio customers. Knowledgeable on IT opportunities to support business goals. And is able to translate business solutions into working software by collaborating with IT engineers.
· Design, maps and improves the performance of Customer Onboarding and Service Journeys through identifying and collecting available CX and data, and translating UX and IT-landscapes. Operating Environment, Framework and Boundaries, Working Relationships · Work closely with Digital squad, FX , Trade product teams within Business Banking and with CXCG, IT, Sales Governance, Relationship teams, Cards, Operations, BIU, Distribution, Audit, CCAM, Legal, Compliance, F & I and others to ensure new initiatives are introduced on time and required deliverables are met by respective Units Problem Solving · Facilitate cross-functional teams for process improvements · Resolve concerns with Sales, Operations & other teams to help in achieving Financial budgets · Analyze drivers of product profitability and model prospective profitability of new and enhanced offerings · Interface with different stakeholders and address transactional concerns and requirements of Business Banking customers; raise URFs with MIT where required and take initiatives to closure · Identify concerns with existing policies and propose proper and timely solutions Carrying out independent market intelligence function as an on-going program through-out the year Ability to identify problems with existing policy and propose solution Knowledge, Skills and Experience Graduate with minimum 7+ years of related banking and finance experience Experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager Experience in Agile methodologies Understanding of Liabilities business for SME banking Knowledge and experience in Cash Management products would help Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle Sound knowledge of MS PowerPoint & MS Excel Knowledge of Flexcube Core Banking platform Analytical skills to interpret data & make recommendations Ability to manage and lead cross - functional project teams Familiarity with bank’s operations, sales and support environments and a strong customer focus Knowledge of Islamic Banking concepts would help Excellent communication and presentation skills Must be a strong collaborator, team player, and individual contributor Strong analytical and quantitative skills Demonstrated ability to think both strategically and tactically Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook to the job and can influence those around them Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that creates a comfortable & effective workplace Passion for innovation and “can do” attitudeJob tags
