Job Summary:
The Export Packing and Shipping Officer is tasked with managing and coordinating the packing and shipping activities for international consignments within Naouri Logistics. The incumbent will ensure the secure and efficient packing of goods, timely shipping, and compliance with international export regulations to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Export Packing Operations:
• Supervise the packing of goods for export to ensure they are secured properly and adhere to international packing standards as well as customer specifications.
• Develop and maintain packing protocols and documentation processes ensuring consistency and accuracy.
2.Shipping Coordination:
• Coordinate with shipping providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure smooth transportation and delivery of goods to international destinations.
• Track shipments, resolve any shipping discrepancies, and ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and complete.
3.Compliance and Regulations:
• Ensure strict compliance with local and international shipping and export regulations.
• Stay updated on export/import regulations and liaise with customs brokers for smooth clearance of goods.
4.Quality Assurance:
• Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure that packing and shipping processes meet the defined standards.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all export packing and shipping activities for auditing and analysis purposes.
5.Communication and Coordination:
• Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and customers to ensure smooth export operations.
• Provide regular updates to management regarding the status of shipments and any potential issues that may arise.
6.Cost Management:
• Analyze and optimize export packing and shipping costs, ensuring operations remain within budget.
• Negotiate contracts with shipping providers to secure favorable terms.
7.Team Management:
• Supervise and train a team of packing and shipping personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics or related industry.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Profound knowledge of international shipping regulations and logistics.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
