JOB SUMMARY BCS is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's DevOps practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline our development and operations processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and reliability throughout the entire software development lifecycle. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES - but not limited to the following: • Develop and deploy automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments while ensuring robust security measures are in place. • Collaborate with the team to manage and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, aiming to accelerate software development and deployment processes. • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues across development, testing, and production environments to ensure smooth operations. • Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure the seamless functioning of the development workflow and address any operational challenges. • Develop tools to enhance the rapid deployment and effective monitoring of custom applications in large-scale environments. • Continuously stay updated with new technologies and tooling to ensure the utilization of current best practices in DevOps methodologies. • Consult with management on the operational requirements of software solutions and contribute expertise on information system options, risks, and operational impacts. • Provide mentorship to junior software developers, guiding them in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities. • Complete code and script updates, as well as resolve product implementation errors to maintain software integrity. • Manage and enhance cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, and GCP to support software development and deployment activities. Role Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field. • Proven practical expertise in implementing DevOps methodologies, specifically in constructing continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines utilizing a range of tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Swarm, Bitbucket, GitLab, GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Terraform. • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in DevOps practices within cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). • Proficient in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all projects. • Capable of formulating DevOps strategies in collaboration with engineering stakeholders and assuming complete accountability for their execution. • Hands-on experience in managing cloud infrastructure on platforms like Compute, Network and Storage. • Strong understanding and application of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform and Ansible. • Experience working within Agile frameworks. • Skilled in mentoring and providing guidance to team members. • Proactive approach to problem identification and resolution, with a focus on performance optimization. • Thorough understanding and practical experience with Linux-based infrastructures and administration. • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Go, or any. • Essential experience with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack. Qualifications: [Atleast one] • Certified Kubernetes Administrator or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer • Certified in Cloud, preferably in Associate level. • Certifications in Terraform/ansible.
