Job description
Work with the Cyber Security Operations teams in the definition and implementation of security standards and best practices.
Work within a DevOps security model so that security is automated and elastic across all cloud platforms.
Build and automate the creation of golden AMI images for teams to use. Security tools baked into the image.
Lead effort with DevOps team to implement immutable servers and CICD pipeline deployments.
Ensure consistent and policy compliant orchestration of cloud infrastructure including base environments, application stacks, virtual servers, containers.
Work closely with functional-area architects, engineering, and security specialists throughout the company to ensure adequate security solutions and controls are in place.
Provide subject matter expertise on, and conduct in-depth security reviews of compute, network, database, middleware, containers, and other AWS services as they are identified for use.
Develop scripts and automation to scale and accelerate the implementation and audit of security configurations, risks, and assessments.
Respond to and, when appropriate, resolve or escalate security incidents.
Develop security and compliance capabilities in support of DevOps processes.
Responsible for a combination of system administration and platform engineering.
Participate in vulnerability management process, taking identified vulnerabilities and working
with team to identify corrective action and remediation.
Lead effort to implement security policies and remediation processes. Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools, system environments, and cloud operations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS.
Practical knowledge of AWS foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies.
Extensive knowledge of data communications security procedures.
Ability to install security software to monitor system usage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
Three years of related experience preferred
