CP has a curated supply network called ClearPier Performance and a media buying platform called Kaden. The Kaden platform was built to deliver on the promise of performance marketing. ClearPier Performance uses third party tracking solution called Swaarm to manage its campaigns and uses a custom BI dashboard that is being built to facilitate media buying decisions. Kaden is looking for an intermediate data engineer to join our team, starting on a 100% remote basis with a high likelyhood of working from an office in India at a later date (will not be 100% required to be at the office every day). You will join the team as a self-employed contractor or business entity (pravna lica) and will be paid a monthly fee via international bank transfer. This position is English-only and you will communicate with people that have varying capabilities in English, so excellent knowledge of and the ability to communicate clearly in English is a hard requirement. Responsibilities Work with product team leader to understand all the requirements and provide estimates, timelines and frequent updates on the progress of the project Work with other developers in the Kaden team to understand overall AWS infrastructure, access control and cost plans Contribute to varied projects utilizing multiple languages and technologies, either individually or as part of a team Design and implement solutions to new requirements with clear explanations of reasoning behind the solution and how it solves the requirement Implement testing, monitoring and alerting, and continuously administrate/maintain already-implemented solutions Write clean, straightforward, readable, maintainable code Qualifications Working experience in Python and SQL Experience using AWS (EC2, S3) Experience using GIT Working knowledge of some of the following technologies: Aerospike, Airflow, Druid, Flink, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis, Spark Understanding of different big data file formats and storage & compute engines and their advantages/disadvantages Ability to learn and adapt quickly Ability to perform under pressure Excellent English Nice-to-haves Knowledge of Java or Scala Experience working on machine-learning-related projects Experience working with data analysts and/or data scientists Experience creating visualizations in Superset/Power BI/similar Experience in digital ad-tech/online advertisingJob tags
