Walking Tree is a luxury jewelry brand that encompasses two distinct B2C brands: Unsaid, based in Europe, and Her Story, based in India. Unsaid creates minimalist jewelry pieces that celebrate the unspoken emotions and connections between people, while Her Story offers exquisite collections inspired by the stories of Indian women. Our "Digital Transformation and Insights" team, based at the headquarters, partners with the brand teams on all digital projects. The brand teams are responsible for strategy and business decisions, whereas the team at the HQ manages technology, digital products, and related implementation and operations.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Manager - Digital Projects who will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of technical projects across our digital portfolio. The Manager - Digital Projects will lead the project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for project management and eCommerce. The successful candidate will report to the Head of the Department and will be responsible for overseeing the timelines and budgets of all team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of technical projects in accordance with project plans, schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Ensure clear communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the brand's teams and the "Digital Transformation and Insights" department to align project objectives with overall business goals.
• Ensure the integration of technical solutions into the existing digital landscape, in accordance with the company's standards and processes.
• Manage project risk, including identification and resolution of issues and challenges that may impact project delivery.
• Ensure project documentation is complete and up-to-date, including project plans, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and status reports.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including project sponsors, internal customers, and external partners.
• Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in eCommerce and project management methodologies, and continuously improve processes and practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.

Summary of immediate goals:

• Assess the efficiency of the current digital project management processes and propose improvements to optimize project delivery.
• Develop and implement standardized project management methodologies, best practices, and tools across the department.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify and prioritize high-impact digital initiatives that align with the company's strategic goals.
• Work with Finance to quantify the department’s spend over the last 3 years and categorize the spending.
• Work with the Head of the Department (HoD) to prepare an annual budget and a projection for the following year.
• Review and take ownership of all digital subscriptions and agency/partner contracts, and optimize for costs where possible.
• Take ownership of the company’s communication and project management platforms (Slack, Asana, Notion etc.).
• Prepare relevant documentation.
• Work with the product and technology teams to gain an understanding of the company’s current digital landscape and future plans.

A few examples of day-to-day tasks:

• Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.
• Evaluate project performance metrics and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Lead project status meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders on progress, risks, and opportunities.
• Work with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to finalize agency contracts and see them through to completion (approval to signatures).
• Monitor projects/tasks across the department and raise red flags to relevant teams & stakeholders well in advance; work with the teams to problem solve.
• Manage the team’s attendance.
• Write cost approval emails with a summary/highlights of the project/expense to the HoD.
• Work with the administration team to enable subscriptions and provide access to relevant team members.
• Grant/revoke access to digital platforms as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing technical projects in eCommerce.
• Relevant project management certifications, such as PMP or PRINCE2.
• Proven experience in delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent project management skills, including experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of eCommerce technologies, platforms, and solutions.
• Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and design solutions to meet business requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
