The Sr. Analyst SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) Developer is a key role in our modernization projects and implementation of them with responsibility to system integration and modernization in alignment with the corporate IT roadmap, Smart Factory automation strategies and plant needs. This position will also lead and/or participate in strategic projects in support of Kennametal business initiatives and works with all related global IT, Manufacturing Plants, Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering in automation development for modernization efforts. The position will also lead process improvements, troubleshooting efforts, along with evaluating and developing global standards. Will act as Project Manager for MII related activities including systems integration and backend modifications. Performance goals will range from expedient problem evaluation, diagnosis and resolution to long-term project objectives measured with milestones.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Build solutions as per the requirement and solution design in SAP MII
Creating functional and technical specification documentation
Assist in testing to validate and provide operating controls to ensure development requirements are satisfied
In accordance with our Smart Factory organization's commitment to continuous improvement, help improve our processes
Analyzing business processes and requirements
Participate in project tasks, such as peer and project reviews of specifications, design documents, and code reviews
SAP MII development to create Business Logic services, query templates and defining the workflows
Technical expertise for the SAP MII landscape being implemented on a global scale
Troubleshoot any issues that occur after a solution is deployed.
Build Proof of Concepts (POCs) using SAP MII as the platform as per business requirements
Involve in solution design to provide technical expertise and coordinate external project teams
Requirements:
Familiar with the SAP modules (SAP PP, MM, PM, QM)
Experience in shopfloor production processes
3 years of experience with SAP HANA
3 years of experience as an SAP MII Developer or similar role
Experience in developing web applications from back- and front-end perspective
Experience in developing JavaScript (SAP UI5 / Open UI5), XML
Experience with ABAP development
Independent work attitude
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Team player
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills Nice to have
Experience with Web Service development (provider and consumer roles)
Experience with SAP workflow development
Experience with developing SMART Forms and SAP scripts
