Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Manual Testing Engineer to join our team. As a Manual Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through thorough manual testing processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual testing methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and execute manual test cases to verify the functionality and performance of software applications.
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide feedback to development teams for continuous improvement.
Participate in requirement reviews, design reviews, and other project meetings to provide input on testability and quality aspects.
Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases and updates.
Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Work closely with developers to replicate and troubleshoot reported issues.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in manual testing methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in manual testing of software applications.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles.
Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or HP ALM.
Proficiency in creating and executing manual test cases.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills: Manual Testing, Test Case Design, Test Execution, Bug Tracking Tools, Regression Testing, Requirement Analysis.
